Ha Noi Railway Station, located at 120 Le Duan St., at the end of Tran Hung Dao St. (Telephone: 942 3697, Fax: 747 0336), is Viet Nam's main railway station. It is the starting point of railway lines station. It is the starting point of railway lines leading to most of provinces in Viet Nam.

Ha Noi Railway Station has two gates: the main “A Station” is one Le Duan Street and “B Station” is on Tran Qui Cap Street. Domestically, trains from “A Station” depart for Southern provinces while trains from “B Station” depart for Northern provinces. In addition, there are international railways to some provinces of China and to third countries (Russia, North Korea and Mongolia) via China.

Ticket office is open from 7am to 11pm.

There are regular daily connections with Ho Chi Minh City. Advance booking is required.

Some northbound (Viet Tri, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Lang Son…) and eastbound (Hai Phong, Quan Trieu…) trains depart from Gia Lam (Telephone: 878 1043/ 873 0083) and Long Bien (Telephone: 942 2770/ 927 1257) stations.
