Yen Tu Pagoda Festival

10th day of the 1st lunar month until the end of the 3rd month

  The mountainous region of Yen Tu has been a centre of Buddhism for many centuries. It is also where the Buddhist sect of Truc Lam originated. Yen Tu is located in Thuong Yen Cong Commune, approximately 15km from Uong bi Town.

   In the wide assortment of remains in Yen Tu, there are 11 pagodas and close to 100 shrines and towers. Those participating in the ceremonies not only express their devotion to Buddha and commemorate a heroic episode of the country's history, but they also have an opportunity to admire the beautiful landscapes of this mountainous area.
